Braxton

I had so much fun at this little guy's session. He was so good for us! I work with his momma at my school. She's a Kindergarten teacher, a really fun one. I know this because our classrooms share a common wall and all of my second graders sing along to all the songs playing in her room. I loved the way his Braxton's session turned out. Leave a comment and let me know what you think! Enjoy

How cute are the John Deere boots and hat????

These next three have to be my absolute favorites. His expressions are so sweet!

I love this one. He looks like he is thinking about something great!

What I Watch as I Cook at Night

Ok... so I've mentioned that my life can sometimes be kind of...well...crazy. This is one of the reasons for it. I mean, seriously, how many people can look out their kitchen window while they cook and watch this?

And just so you know, that's my hubby back there coaching. Luckily, I've always liked MMA and have been a fan of the UFC since it started. I can tell you how to escape all sorts of chokes and armbars.

People always ask me if I train, and, we do have women who do. I, definitely, do not train. Getting slammed into the ground and punched is not my idea of a good time.

But, that being said...I am super proud of Tim. We have already had one guy bring home a belt, and in July, 2 more guys are going to try for belts.

Last, but not least, I want to share this picture. It's one of my favorites. Little Hayden thinks he's Tim's assistant coach. Lol. He keeps the guys in line. They better watch out for when he's big enough to roll!

Jack

I had a great time taking Jack's senior pics. Jack was another one of the kids I had at my daycare way back when he was in preschool. He has made his way back into our lives via my husband's MMA Gym.

We got some great shots. We wanted to get some shots on the train tracks but there was a train parked there. Finally, we just decided to make the best of it and work with it. I think these shots turned out great. What do you think?

Here's one more we grabbed coming back from the tracks.

Next, we went to try out a new location I hadn't shot at before.I love the whole grunge look. It was a perfect location for Jack's style. The only thing that ruined the new location for me at all was when Jack pointed out the many rat traps. Yes. I said RAT traps. Yuck! Thank you, Jack. I was really liking this place until then!

The results were worth even the chance of seeing rats. (I can safely say that now sitting in my living room.) BTW, the security guard was super nice. He let us in to shoot and called me sweetheart!

Congratulations, Jack! I look forward to watching you accomplish all of your goals!!

BFF's

Right after I graduated from college, I owned a daycare center. I really liked being a part of all the kid's lives. The best part is that, living in a fairly small town, I have gotten to watch a lot of the kids grow up. This year, I have had the privilege of getting to take Senior Pictures for quite a few of my daycare kids.

This is Rachel. Isn't she gorgeous? I've know Rachel since she was about 2. I've always thought that she was the most awesome kid. She was the type of little girl who would wear her hair in curls and wear a fancy dress and then proceed to stomp all the boys at whatever they were doing. LOVED her!!

The best part is what a beautiful young woman she has grown into. And her sense of style has totally matured. I loved her outfit!

Then we went and picked up her BFF, Matt. Now the neat part about that is that Matt was also a daycare kiddo and he and Rachel have been friends since they were little bitty in daycare together. I love that they have stayed friends. I'm looking forward to taking Matt's pictures soon!

Presenting Miss A

I love my photography business. It is a true creative outlet. One thing, I really didn't anticipate was how awesome it was going to be to capture the growth of my client's families. This family is one that I have watched grow over the past couple of years. It all started with their engagement session, then their wedding, and now this bundle of cuteness!

Isn't she just the cutest thing ever? Every time I do a newborn session, I remember how sweet my own babies were at that age. It's almost enough to make me want another one. I said almost. In the meantime, I'll just continue to rely on everyone else's babies for my baby fix. Congratulations, Caul and Ashley!
